In this section of the Redcloudbird review, I will go over the details of my order from what I purchased to the return status. Keep reading for more!

Order Summary

I ordered the below items on 3/6/2023. My shipping address is in North Carolina, United States.

  1. Women’s Christmas Fashion Waist Twist Pack Hip Dress (No longer available)
  2. Solid Color Loose Plush Lapel Jacket (No longer available)
  3. Floral-print ruffle-paneled V-neck lace-up jumpsuit (No longer available)

❌ I was informed on 3/12/23 (upon emailing them about the missing item and noticing an unexpected random partial refund in my Paypal) that the jumpsuit (item 3) was out of stock. I received a refund amount that was nonsensical, and was less than each item I ordered.

❌ The order confirmation email I received, which is the exact same information I saw when I was checking out, is a different amount from what I was actually charged.  After doing some research, and looking at the tracking information, I figured out that the high tax I was charged is likely based on Italy’s sales tax (around 22%). The tracking information indicated that the package came out of Italy.

What I Received

I received both items in two separate packages, and they both seem to match their product images and descriptions. One package came from a warehouse in Jamaica, New York (United States), and the other package came from Markham, Illinois (United States).

Return & Refund

  • Return requested: I emailed support to request a return on March 24th. I also inquired about the missing item.
  • Return approved: My return request was not approved. I filed a dispute/claim with Paypal. See the Message drop-down below.

I sent the following message to Paypal on April 6th:

“Hello,

I tried to go through the standard process of reporting an issue with a seller, but I wasn’t seeing options that properly represented my issue. I made a purchase from a seller, and have tried to return the items. I have been going back and forth with their customer service for over a week, asking for their return address, and they keep responding with templated answers completely ignoring my question. I am simply trying to return the crap I ordered to get a refund, but it is like talking to a brick wall. I have tons of written evidence, and can easily provide it to kick off this claim. Please advise on how to move forward.

Paypal got back to me same-day and elevated the dispute to a claim on my behalf. I was told to wait 11 days. If by the 11th day, the seller doesn’t respond, the case will close in my favor and I will be refunded. The seller did respond a week later and requested that I return the items in exchange for a refund. This is the message I received:

“The seller has agreed to issue a full refund for $88.06 USD. To receive this refund, you’ll need to ship the item (s) back to the seller by May 5, 2023 at 6:44:20 PM PDT.

You have to send the item(s) to the return shipping address mentioned and upload the tracking information.

I received 1 out of 3 items, and according to tracking, all 3 were delivered… and I got a random $25 refund that doesn’t make sense? All of my items were more than $25.   1. Did the order arrive on time and as expected? I was never provided a shipping window, however, it took 16 days to receive the first package which isn’t too bad, but 24 days to receive the second which is pretty long. I received 2 out of the 3 items I ordered and was not informed that the third item was out of stock until I emailed them.
  2. Did they let you know when the items shipped and did they provide a tracking number? No, I never received an email.
  3. What is the general quality of the items ordered? Based on the items in my order, I would rate the quality 1 out of 5 stars. The quality of Redcloudbird’s clothing is horrendous.
  4. How accurate is the sizing based on the items ordered? Based on my order, the size charts seem fairly accurate.
  5. Were there any issues or discrepancies with the payment? Yes, there was a discrepancy. I was charged 22% tax on my total and was unaware of this charge until I already paid and checked my Paypal recent transactions.
  6. Does the clothing have brand tags and sufficient care label information? There are no Redcloudbird brand tags. The care labels are present on both garments and contain standard information.

  1. Was the return request approved? No, they did not approve my request. I had to file a Paypal claim.
  2. Was customer service helpful and did they offer any return/refund alternatives? Talking to customer support was an absolute nightmare. They were unhelpful, very unprofessional in their language, and did not acknowledge most of my questions and comments. They did offer that I keep the items for a partial refund, but the conversation never went anywhere.
  3. What country is the return address in and what was the return cost? The return address is located in Hong Kong. I paid a whopping $27.41 for the postage.
  4. Was the refund successful? TBD. I mailed the package on 5/5/2023.
  5. Did support reach out about any issues with the order? No, but they should have since an item I ordered was out of stock.

  1. Are they sustainable?I do not believe that they are sustainable.
  2. Are their prices fair and are they affordable? Based on the items I ordered, I think they charge too much for the quality. Affordability-wise, the clothing is overall affordable. The average cost of a top (based on their best-selling list) is around $30.
  3. Is there anything important to know regarding any of their policies? Their shipping policy does not contain information such as shipping time frames. Their return policy also states that items that are purchased with their free shipping option, do not include a tracking number.
  4. Do they offer free shipping and other discounts? Yes, they offer free shipping for over $69. They do have coupons available.

In this section of the Redcloudbird review, I will answer whether this company is legitimate and if I recommend that others shop here. Keep reading for more! Note: If my purchased items arrive, I am able to return the items successfully, and I receive a refund in the agreed-upon amount, I am deeming the company legitimate.

Is Redcloudbird Legit or a Scam?

Based on my experience, they are a scam. I paid for my items (they snuck in a 20% tax after I submitted my payment), and received 2 out of the 3 things I ordered. I had to inquire about the missing item, as they did not inform me that it was out of stock. I requested a return, and they kept responding with templated emails that failed to address my questions and concerns. They never approved my return, and I had to file a claim with Paypal. They finally responded to Paypal and provided their return address in Hong Kong. I am still waiting for a refund, but expect Paypal to resolve this issue soon.

Do I Recommend Redcloudbird?

No, I do not recommend Redcloudbird.
