Is CherieDay Legit? Read This Review Before Buying

Considering making a purchase from cherieday.com but feeling hesitant? Allow me to address your concerns. Is CherieDay a legit site? The short answer is yes, they are a legitimate site. I received my order, returned everything, and got a refund. But, would I shop here again?

In this post, I will share with you my purchase and return experience, my thoughts on their clothing, and brand information. Keep reading for more!

What is CherieDay?

They are an online women’s clothing store that specializes in dresses. They allegedly offer quality, affordable fashion with designs inspired by nature and art, incorporating elements such as flowers, prints, and plants. They believe that every woman is beautiful, and seek to empower them through accessible, fashionable clothing.

Is CherieDay sustainable?

No, they are not sustainable. They explicitly state on their About page that they sell fast fashion.

According to a customer support email, they are located in Singapore. However, according to the Page Transparency section of their Facebook page, their business page is run by managers primarily located in China.

Where does CherieDay ship from?

My packages were shipped to me from warehouses/distribution centers in Kentucky and Florida (United States).

Read this list of online stores that the owner of CherieDay most likely owns as well. This list has been compiled using clues like matching Google site logos, PayPal merchant names, business addresses, site layouts, etc.
They offer free shipping over $79.
They allow returns within 30 days of the delivery date.

CherieDay Review and Order Details

I ordered the below items on 10/10/2023 to my address in North Carolina (United States). I paid a total of $179.05 to CherieDay (service@cherieday.com) via PayPal. The charge appears on my credit card statement as “PAYPAL *CHERICUMG”. – View Order Confirmation

1) V-Neck Half-Sleeve Floral Maxi Dress

Color, Size, and Cost: Gray / S / $47.50
Country: Made in China
Material: The product page states Cotton. The care label, however, states:
- Shell– 100% Cotton
- Lining– 97% Polyester, and 3% Spandex

Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.

Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. It is comparable to a dress you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.

Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits one size too big. View my body measurements for size reference.

Keep or Return: I would return this CherieDay dress.

While I think this dress is cute and doesn’t look terrible quality-wise at a glance, it is MUCH too expensive for how low-quality the fabrics are. The lining feels like stretchy Halloween costume material, and the outer lace is thin and flimsy. I can also see loose threads in various places, and some areas aren’t sewn well.

2) Shirt Collar Casual Cable Knit Cardigan Sweater

Color, Size, and Cost: Gray / S / $31.99
Country: Unknown
Material: The product page states Polyester.

Expectation: It isn’t quite what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. It looks several inches longer on the model than it does on me.

Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. It is comparable to a cardigan you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.

Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits well. View my body measurements for size reference.

Keep or Return: I would return this CherieDay cardigan.

Many areas are sewn poorly with threads sticking out, none of the seams are sealed/closed properly, the bottom hem is crooked, and many of the seams aren’t aligned/sewn together well, creating weird points (the edges of the garment should be straight and even all around).

3) Short-Sleeve Floral Pocket Button Denim Shirt Dress

Color, Size, and Cost: Blue / S / $52.28
Country: Made in China
Material: The product page states Denim. The care label, however, states 100% Polyester.

Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.

Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. It is comparable to a dress you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.

Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits a bit big (I could wear this size for a looser fit, or size down or a more snug fit). View my body measurements for size reference.

Keep or Return: I would return this CherieDay dress.

While I don’t hate the dress, it is much too expensive for the quality. The buttons and buttonholes are sewn poorly, the buttons are plastic, the seams in the pockets are unfinished and sewn poorly, and the inside of the garment has a lot of loose threads. Also, how bold of them to call this a denim dress when it is entirely polyester (it feels like a thin, but decent-quality tablecloth).

Shipment Info

I received three items in two packages at my address in North Carolina (United States). The packages came from warehouses/ distribution centers in the United States. I was provided a tracking number.

Order placed on Tues, October 10th
Order shipped on Thurs, October 12th and Sat, October 14th
Order received on Fri, October 20th and Wed, October 25th

Total time of 15 days (to receive the complete order)

Note: Their shipping policy states up to 18 business days (including processing time) for standard U.S. shipping.

Return & Refund Info

I emailed support (service@cherieday.com) to request a full return on October 25th. My request was approved two days later on October 27th, and I was provided with the return address. I mailed the package on October 30th via USPS and paid a total of $7.08.

I received a full refund of $169.06 (minus the initial shipping fee) in three separate parts. The out-of-stock item was refunded on November 5th, and the rest of the refund was provided in two parts on November 27th. I received the complete refund 28 days after I mailed the package. – View Refund Receipt

Note: If your return is international, I recommend printing out the native language version of the return address. For example, if your return is in China, print out the address written in Chinese characters. Tape it on the package next to the provided English address — per the advice of a USPS worker, doing this can help with delivery on the other side. You’ll probably need to ask the support team of the store you purchased from for the native version. They may or may not provide it to you, as it is not mandatory for successful delivery.

Support Experience

They didn’t inform me about the out-of-stock item. I had to email them to find out the status.
They alternatively offered me the following return/refund options: $40 refund + keep the items, or a $132 gift card + keep the items. After rejecting the offer, they bumped their offer up to a $66 refund + keep the items, and then again to $79 refund + keep the items. I rejected all offers.

Provided return instructions and guidelines:

We gladly accept unworn, undamaged, unwashed items with original labels attached (the hang tag and transparent package).
Please note that your returned product/s is required to be quality inspected after it is received at the warehouse. If the returned item/s has been detected as used or worn, we cannot issue a refund for it.
We currently are unable to offer free returns service, so the return shipping must be made at your own cost.
Remember to give us the tracking number within 7 days of receiving the return address we provide. Otherwise, we are afraid that we will not accept returns and no refunds.
We are happy to refund the price of the item/s you return (not including the original shipping fee as we had shipped it) after receiving the parcel and checking.
Please write the following information on a piece of paper and put it in the parcel: Your order number, and product IDs (they provided these to me).

Firstly, this site steals images from softsurroundings.com.

Secondly, I found several of the same products on Amazon, AliExpress, Walmart, etc. for much cheaper. I highly recommend doing reverse image searches when shopping online to ensure you are not getting ripped off.

Do I Recommend This Shop?

Definition If my purchased items arrive, I am able to return the items successfully, and I receive a refund in the agreed-upon amount, I am deeming the company legitimate (unless fraudulent practices are discovered).

Based on my experience, this company is a scam. While I received everything (minus an out-of-stock item), and completed a return successfully, this company steals product images from other sites like softsurroundings.com.

Additionally, I have several other grievances. Firstly, they did not notify me of the out-of-stock item, which is terrible customer service. They had 15 days (time from shipment to delivery of my package) to tell me about this, but they never bothered to email me. Secondly, all of the items are mediocre in quality, MUCH too expensive, and each one is sewn poorly. And thirdly, two of the items have incorrect material information on their product pages. This is a super misleading practice, and I will not be shopping anywhere that deceives customers with false claims.

To wrap up this review, regardless of my experience, be sure to read other customers’ reviews if they are available. Every experience varies, and it is important that you are as informed as possible before making any ‘risky’ purchasing decision.
