I ordered the below items on 10/10/2023 to my address in North Carolina (United States). I paid a total of $184.41 to Echoine (hello@echoine.com) via PayPal. The charge appears on my credit card statement as “PAYPAL *ECH7FBW”. – View Order Confirmation
1) Hoodie Color-Block Ruched Dress
Brand Label: Unknown
Color/Size/Cost: Gray / L / $42.99
Country: Made in China
Material: 95% Polyester / 5% Elastane.
Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is bad but wearable. See my Quality Comparison & Rating Chart to know my current quality-rating standards.

Keep or Return: I would return this Echoine dress.
While the dress looks cute at a glance, it is WAY too expensive for the quality. I also see stains on the inside zipper, lots of loose threads, and parts of the zipper (the ones on the arms) that should have been trimmed or tucked in, but were just lazily folded and sewn over. Also, when you raise your arms, you feel squeezing/tightening where the zippers are.
2) Knit Zip Crop-Top & Pants Set

Color/Size/Cost: Wheat / M / $52.99

Material: Different materials are listed in two places:

Expectation: It is VERY different from what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. The color is a different shade of blush/pink, the material texture looks different, and the top is dramatically different length-wise.

Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and the top fits about 2 sizes too big, and the bottoms fit at least 1 size too small. View my Body Measurements for size reference.
Keep or Return: I would return this Echoine knit set.
It is sewn crookedly and terribly (especially the center seam of the bottoms), the top zipper is not sewn cleanly (the base sticks out from the bottom), it is an atrocious fit for my body, and is DISGUSTINGLY expensive for the quality.
3) Cold-Shoulder Bead Midi Dress

Color/Size/Cost: White / L / $38.99
Country: Made in China
Material: 100% Polyester
Expectation: It isn’t what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. The blue dotted lines are much more prominent-looking in person, and the neck is much higher up to my face. As a side note, I unintentionally did not wear the shoulder straps properly.

While the fit is decent and I like the comfortable stretch of the material, it is see-through, the inside edges have weird yellow marks all over the place, there are loose threads everywhere, and it is too expensive for the quality.
4) Ripped Denim Shorts

Color/Size/Cost: Blue / XL / $36.99
Country: Made in China
Material: 65% Cotton / 35% Polyester
Expectation: They are VERY different from what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. The ripped areas, the material, the thread color, and the wash look WILDLY different in person.

Keep or Return: I would return these Echoine shorts.
These are some of the worst-fitting, lowest-quality shorts I have ever seen. They are paper thin, flimsy, look NOTHING like the product image, are sewn crookedly, have tons of loose threads, and are too expensive. Frankly, no amount of money would make these a good deal.
Shipment Info
I received four items in one package at my address in North Carolina (United States). The package originated from China, and I received it from a distribution center in the United States. I was provided a tracking number through YunExpress.

I emailed support (hello@echoine.com) to request a full return on October 31st. My request was approved two days later on November 2nd, and I was provided with the return address. I mailed the package on November 4th via UPS and paid a total of $6.93.

General Responsiveness
They responded to each of my emails within a day, and promptly provided the return addresses.
Return Details
They provided me with the following return/refund options:
- “…a gift card equivalent to 60% of the amount you paid for the order if you decide to keep the items.”
- “…return the items for an exchange/refund.”
Refund Details
I followed up on the refund 34 days after shipping the return. They asked me for the tracking number, the names of the items that I returned, and if I wanted to exchange them or get a refund. I told them to reference the entire email chain, as this was all redundant information and repeated requests.
Is Echoine Legit or a Scam?

Reverse Image Search:
Based on my findings, there are MANY other small boutiques/online shops/marketplaces that appear to sell many of the same items as Echoine.
Possible reasons for this include the use of the same suppliers, this shop operating as a wholesaler or marketplace, the same owner operating multiple stores and/or selling on multiple platforms, the use of stolen images, etc.
With that being said, I found several of the same products on Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, AliExpress, etc. for much cheaper. For example, I found the below dress for $39.99 on Echoine, and $24.99 on Walmart Marketplace. Based on the reverse image search results, I believe these are identical/near-identical items offered at different prices (as opposed to one being a cheap-quality version of the other).
I highly recommend doing Reverse Image Searches when shopping online for price and quality checking purposes. You might be surprised at what you find!

No suspicious information (such as lawsuits or alerts from the Better Business Bureau) was found.
Do I Recommend This Shop?
Based on my experience, they are a legitimate shop. I paid for my items, received them within the estimated time frame, successfully completed a return, and received a full refund.
With that being said, I personally would not shop here again.
Here are my 5 reasons why:
- The clothing is DISGUSTINGLY overpriced for the quality.
- The quality is subpar. A lot of flaws in the sewing of the garments, loose threads, areas that needed to be cut that were left in excess and sewn over, see-through fabric, etc.
- The shorts are an absolute disgrace! The product image for these is some of the worst false advertising I’ve experienced.
- The shipping time is lengthy. It took 3 weeks to get everything.
- The refund took over a month. I had to follow up with them. If I didn’t, I probably STILL wouldn’t have the refund.
Overall, my experience was BAD and the clothing is very disappointing. I would avoid this shop if I were you!
