Let’s cut to the chase. Is popilush.com (the shapewear shop) a legit website? The quick answer is yes, they are legitimate. I received my clothing order and successfully returned everything for a refund. Now the biggest question is, would I shop here again?

No, they likely are not. According to their About page, they are committed to reducing waste by following practices such as using textiles that biodegrade rapidly and minimizing plastic waste through their packaging practices. Since they don’t substantiate some of these sustainability claims, I am inclined to think they are green-washing.
I can confirm, however, that some of my items arrived in biodegradable packaging.

1) Shapewear High-Waist Bikini Set Swimwear

Expectation: It isn’t what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. The front and back are MUCH more narrow in person (in other words, less coverage on both the front and back sides than I expected). I did wear these backwards, but they are about the same width-wise on both sides.

Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it is not the right fit for my body shape (too big in the top, and too tight in the waist). View my Body Measurements for size reference.
Keep or Return: I would return this Popilush shapewear swimsuit.
While it feels overall well constructed, is double-layered, and the material feels pretty thick, the fit is not at all suitable for my body shape. The top’s band fits well, but everywhere else (the straps, cups, etc.) is too big. You can see lots of wrinkling and sagging. The bottoms also fit very strangely. The waist is AT LEAST one size too small, the coverage area in the front (and back) is one to two inches too narrow, and the overall length of the bottoms is MUCH too long. If I pulled them up all the way (like they are supposed to be), the waistband would come up to my upper-ribcage.
2) Denim Tummy-Control Bodysuit

Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.

Keep or Return: I would return this Popilush shapewear bodysuit.
Regarding the positives, it is double-layered, unlined (no padding but compresses and holds up my chest well), gives me a great hourglass shape, the overall length is a good fit as it didn’t give me a wedgie, and it overall feels well made. As for the negatives, the fit isn’t perfect. The top half fits like a glove, and the bottom half is about one size too small. If this were one size bigger, I would probably keep this.
3) Built-In Shapewear Wide-Straps Mini Lounge Dress

Keep or Return: I would return this Popilush shapewear dress.
While I really like the way it looks from the front, the fact that it is double-layered, and has an open crotch making it easier to use the bathroom, the fit isn’t quite right. It is so tight that it almost straightens my figure and blends out any hourglass shape I have. If this were a size bigger, I would probably keep this.

I received four items in three packages at my address in North Carolina (United States). The packages came from warehouses/distribution centers in the United States. I was provided tracking numbers through USPS.

General Responsiveness
Customer service was VERY fast to respond, and they provided me with the return address the SAME DAY that I emailed them for a return.

They provided me with the following return/refund options:
- “We can refund you directly. Return the goods with this return label and we will charge you $8 for the return shipping fee.”
- “…we can exchange it for a more suitable size or equal value others free of charge.”
- “…keep the goods, and we will provide you with a discount code of $35 off (no minimum) of your next purchase.”
Refund Details
Upon initiating the refund, they apologized and provided me with a $20-off coupon for my next purchase.
Is Popilush Legit or a Scam?

Reverse Image Search:
Based on my findings, there are some other small boutiques/online shops/marketplaces that appear to sell many of the same items as Popilush.
In this case, I believe Popilush is the source of their product images.
Possible reasons for this include the use of the same suppliers, this shop operating as a wholesaler or marketplace, the same owner operating multiple stores and/or selling on multiple platforms, the use of stolen images, etc.
I highly recommend doing Reverse Image Searches when shopping online for price and quality checking purposes. You might be surprised at what you find!

No suspicious information (such as lawsuits or alerts from the Better Business Bureau) was found.
Do I Recommend This Shop?
Based on my experience, they are a legitimate company. I paid for my items, received them within the estimated time frame, successfully completed a return, and received a full refund.
With that being said, I would absolutely shop here again!
Though all of the items are at least half a size too small in some way (tight in the wrong areas), here are my 3 reasons why:
- The shapewear is good quality.
- Though high, the prices are acceptable considering how well the shapewear works.
- They have a very generous return window of 60 days, and the return cost is reasonable (since it is domestic).
Overall, I am pretty satisfied with my purchase. Next time, I would size up (or if between sizes, go with the bigger one).
