If you’re like me, you’ve probably stumbled upon seafancy.com while looking for new additions to your wardrobe. And if you’re hesitant about whether the clothing is legitimate or not, don’t fret. Today, we’ll delve into the world of SeaFancy and explore everything you need to know before hitting that checkout button. From my own personal shopping experience to my candid thoughts on their clothing, this will be one of the most comprehensive SeaFancy reviews you’ll find on the web.

They allege that quality, value, and functionality at the core of their business model, and they aim to inspire confidence and beauty in their customers by offering refined, yet affordable swimwear.

In this section of the review, I will be thoroughly reviewing each item I ordered and will provide detailed information about the shipment and return/refund process. Keep reading for more!

Review

I ordered the below items on 7/20/2023 to my address in North Carolina (United States). I paid a total of $140.96 to Sea Fancy via PayPal. The charge appears on my credit card statement as “PAYPAL *SEA FWYAU”. – View Order Confirmation

1) Pink Floral Halter Straps Sweetheart Neck Swimdress

Color, Size, and Cost: Pink / L / $35.99
Country: Made in China
Material: The product page states 80% Nylon, 20% Spandex. The care label attached to the clothing, however, states Shell 1– 82% Nylon, and 18% Spandex Shell 2– 85% Polyester, and 15% Spandex Mesh Lining– 90% Polyester, and 10% Spandex. Their product page lists false information and is misleading.
Description: The material is thin and very stretchy. The front part of the bottoms has an inner lining, and the back is just a single layer of material. The top has an inner mesh layer with built-in molded cups. There are removable back straps.

Expectation: It is what I was expecting, for the most part, in terms of overall appearance. I did not realize that it came with back straps that were removable, and I did not see that there was cinching at the center of the top.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. I see sloppy threads in some areas. It is comparable to a swimsuit you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.
Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits about one size too big. View my body measurements for size reference.
Value: In my opinion, this bikini is fairly priced (the quality isn’t the best, but for a full swimsuit, it is pretty cheap).

2) Striped One-Piece Swimsuit

Color, Size, and Cost: Striped / L / $35.99
Country: Made in China
Material: The product page states – Shell– 82% Nylon, and 18% Spandex Lining– 90% Polyester, and 10% Spandex. The care label attached to the clothing, however, states – Shell– 82% Nylon, and 18% Spandex Lining– 88% Polyester, and 12% Spandex. Their product page lists false information and is misleading.
Description: The material is thin and very stretchy. The front part of the swimsuit has an inner lining, and the back is just a single layer of material. The top has removable cups.

Expectation: It is what I was expecting, for the most part, in terms of overall appearance. The top line pattern however looks different from the product image. The lines are less bold, more frequent, and closer together.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. I see sloppy threads in some areas. It is comparable to a swimsuit you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.
Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, it somewhat fits. The top fits well, but the bottoms pinch my butt slightly (this is an issue I regularly face). View my body measurements for size reference.
Value: In my opinion, this bikini is fairly priced (the quality isn’t the best, but for a full swimsuit, it is pretty cheap).

3) Open Front Sunflower Crochet Cover Up

Color, Size, and Cost: White / One Size / $35.99
Country: Made in China
Material: 100% Polyester
Description: The material is extremely thin and lightweight. It has virtually no stretch and is slightly rough to the touch. It has embroidered ties in the front.

Expectation: It is what I was expecting, for the most part, in terms of overall appearance. It has a slightly beige tint to it in person. I expected a stronger white color.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. The threading in general feels and looks very frail. I already see some threads in the embroidery coming loose and fraying especially along the edges. The bottom hem is also uneven (one side is longer than the other). It is comparable to a swim cover-up you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.
Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits well. View my body measurements for size reference.
Value: In my opinion, this swim cover-up is VERY overpriced.

4) White Floral Sweetheart Neck Twist Front Bikini Top With Mid-Waist Bottom

Color, Size, and Cost: White / L / $32.99
Country: Made in China
Material: The product page states- Shell– 80% Nylon, and 20% Spandex Lining– 100% Polyester. The care label attached to the clothing, however, states – Shell– 82% Nylon, and 18% Spandex Lining– 88% Polyester, and 12% Spandex. Their product page lists false information and is misleading.
Description: The material is thin and very stretchy. The front part of the bottoms has an inner lining, and the back is just a single layer of material. The top has an inner mesh layer with built-in molded cups.

Expectation: It isn’t quite what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. The top fits in a way where the straps appear concave and go inwards. The model in the product image shows straps that look more straight.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. I see unfinished edges of material everywhere (on the inside). It is comparable to a swimsuit you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.
Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it doesn’t fit my body shape well. The top fits ever so slightly loose, while the bottoms slightly pinch into my skin. View my body measurements for size reference.
Value: In my opinion, this bikini is fairly priced (the quality isn’t the best, but for a full swimsuit, it is pretty cheap).

I received four items in three packages, which came from a warehouse in the United States. I was provided a tracking number.

Return & Refund Info

I emailed support to request a full return on August 1st. My request was approved five days later on August 6th, and I was provided with the return address. I mailed the package on August 9th via USPS and paid a total of $6.92.

I received a full refund of $140.96 on September 13th. I received the refund thirty-five days after mailing the package. – View Refund Receipt

Customer Support Experience

Customer service was quick to respond and promptly provided me with the return address. They asked for pictures of the sticker liners on the swimsuits beforehand.
Upon asking for a return, they offered a 30% refund + keep the items + a coupon. In their second email, after I rejected their initial offer, they bumped it up to a 50% refund along with the return address.
The return took an incredibly long time to receive. I had to follow up with them numerous times and eventually threatened to file a claim with PayPal. They told me in multiple emails that they notified the returns department and that I needed to wait a few days.

Do I Recommend SeaFancy?

Definition If my purchased items arrive, I am able to return the items successfully, and I receive a refund in the agreed-upon amount, I am deeming the company legitimate (unless fraudulent practices are discovered).

Based on my experience so far, they are a legitimate company. I paid for my items, received them within the estimated time frame, successfully completed a return, and received a full refund.

With that being said, I personally would not shop here again.

Firstly, while the swimwear/clothing is ‘acceptable’ quality, I would rather spend twice the amount for twice the quality. I have specific needs when it comes to bathing suit bottoms fitting (I often run into bottoms pinching and creating a double-butt effect), and I found that every single one of these was somewhat ill-fitting. Secondly, the material compositions listed on the product pages do not exactly match the care labels on the swimsuits. While they are just slight differences such as 2% vs. 4%, this makes me question the company’s honesty. Lastly, the return took a really long time and required numerous follow-ups from me. They kept telling me to wait and that they had re-notified the appropriate people. Absolutely frustrating, and a return should NOT take so long.

If you choose to shop here, always shop with caution. I urge you to read reviews by other customers as well.
