They even launched their first recycled fabric line and biodegradable packaging in Spring 2023. Their ultimate mission is to design and create pieces that make women feel confident and comfortable

Is Cupshe ethical?

Yes, they appear to be partially ethical/sustainable. According to their Cupshe Cares page, they allegedly utilize biodegradable packaging, implement recycling programs, maintain safe and humane working conditions within their factories, and are committed to producing garments of high quality and inclusive sizing. They use digital textile printing, which is more sustainable, and they work with only the best and most innovative factories to incorporate recycled fabrics into their line. They launched their Recycled Fabric Collection in April 2023, which uses both recycled nylon and polyester.

According to customer support, their business address (headquarters) is located in Los Angeles, California (United States). They also claim that the company was founded in the United States. However, according to the Page Transparency section of their Facebook page, their business page is run by managers located in China.

Where does Cupshe ship from?

My order shipped to me from a warehouse/distribution center in New Jersey (United States). In the United States, they have two warehouses – one is in New Jersey and the other is in California.

Where do Cupshe’s clothes come from?

All of the items in my order were made in China.

Clothing Review

I ordered the below items on 9/17/2023 to my address in North Carolina (United States). I paid a total of $120.96 to cupshe (service@cupshe.com) via PayPal. The charge appears on my credit card statement as *CUHG6N”. – View Order Confirmation 

1) Release Happiness Lace-Back Top & Hipster Bikini Set

  • Color, Size, and Cost: Navy / M / $24.99
  • Country: Made in China
  • Material: Main– 80% Nylon, and 20% Spandex Lining– 100% Polyester
  • Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
  • Quality: In my opinion, the quality is decent. It is comparable to a swimsuit you might find at Target or H&M.
  • Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits well. View my body measurements for size reference.
  • Keep or Return: I would keep this Cupshe swimsuit. I love that the entire swimsuit is double-layered. A lot of these cheap swimsuits either do not have an inner lining entirely, or only half of it has an inner lining, so I am pleasantly surprised.

2) Italian Voyage Wrap Front Plunge Cutout One Piece Swimsuit

  • Color, Size, and Cost: Dark Navy / M / $29.99
  • Country: Made in China
  • Material: Main– 80% Nylon, and 20% Spandex Lining– 100% Polyester
  • Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
  • Quality: In my opinion, the quality is decent. It is comparable to a swimsuit you might find at Target or H&M.
  • Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits pretty well. View my body measurements for size reference.
  • Keep or Return: I would keep this Cupshe swimsuit! I love the built-in shaped cups. I think these tend to look and fit better than removable pads. Also, I usually have issues with the overall length of one-pieces being too short, and while this does run a little short, it still fits and looks cute. Additionally, the entire swimsuit also has an inner lining, so that is a huge green flag for me!

3) Ditsy Floral Print V-Neck Ruffled Mini Dress

  • Color, Size, and Cost: Apricot / M / $37.99
  • Country: Made in China
  • Material: 100% Polyester
  • Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
  • Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. It is comparable to a dress you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.
  • Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits about one size too big. View my body measurements for size reference.
  • Keep or Return: I would return this Cupshe dress. Even if it did fit me perfectly, I am bothered by how cheap the zipper looks and feels. That is the first thing I noticed when I pulled it out of the bag. Not only is the zipper cheap, but the overall dress’s material feels light and flimsy (not exactly in a good-quality kind of way). I overall think this Cupshe dress is a bit overpriced.

4) Olive Green Knotted Sash Mini Dress

  • Color, Size, and Cost: Olive / M / $27.99
  • Country: Made in China
  • Material: 95% Polyester, and 5% Spandex
  • Expectation: It is what I was expecting, for the most part, in terms of overall appearance. The texture looks a little bit different in person.
  • Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. It is comparable to a dress you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.
  • Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits well. View my body measurements for size reference.
  • Keep or Return: I would return this Cupshe dress. The most important thing to mention is that the hem is crooked. Unfortunately, this results in the back being SHORTER than the front. Due to this issue, it looks wacky from the side and I feel like I could expose myself accidentally if I were to squat down. I acknowledge that sometimes these issues occur in production, and this could just be a flaw in this specific garment. Regardless of this flaw, I am not a fan of the material. It has a cheap fuzzy texture with these vertical sewing lines that I think would better suit a curtain than a dress.

I completed a request for a return through their return portal on September 24th. My request was approved shortly after, and I was provided with the return address via email. I mailed the package on September 28th via USPS and paid a total of $7.02.

Support Experience

  • The return process was speedy, and took a minute or so to go through their return portal. I got an email with the return address just a few minutes later.
  • In the return portal, I was provided with the following return/refund options: 1) 130% store credit + keep the items, 2) 70% standard refund + keep the items, 3) Prepaid return label and they will deduct ~$10 from your refund + standard refund, 4) Ship the return yourself and + standard refund.
  • They provided me with two return addresses to pick from, whichever is closest to me: 1175 Florence Columbus Road UNITC（A1-A11), Bordentown, NJ 08505 AND 13725 Pipeline Ave, Chino, CA, 91710.

Do I Recommend This Shop?

Based on my experience, they are a legitimate site. I paid for my items, received them within the estimated time frame, successfully completed a return, and received a full refund.

With that being said, I would shop here again!

I am so impressed with their swimsuits! For the price, the quality is great. On top of that, they fit me better than expected. Other positives include speedy shipping, easy return process, extremely enticing return/refund options, and sustainability. One negative, however, is that while their swimwear seems to be great, I can’t say the same about their clothing. In the future, I would definitely purchase swimwear, but would look elsewhere for other types of clothes.
