1) Alabama Sequin Casual Sweatshirt
Brand Label: Unknown
Color/Size/Cost: Red / M / $44.99
Country: Unknown
Material: The product page states Cotton Blend.
Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is decent, but is somewhat poorly constructed. The sequin elephant is slightly crooked. See my Quality Comparison & Rating Chart to know my current quality-rating standards.
Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits big (I wanted an oversized fit). View my Body Measurements for size reference.
Keep or Return: I would return this Lady Boutique BD sweatshirt.
Though the material feels comfy enough and has some weight to it, the sequin elephant is of decent quality, and I like the raw and inverted style of the hem, this sweatshirt is representative of the University of Alabama football team, and the colors matter. Their real logo is more of a crimson red, whereas this sweater is a bright scarlet red. Also, the material is somewhat stiff, and the inside feels similar to a thin towel. This alone isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but for the price, I expect something a bit better in quality.
2) Color Block Plaid Shawl

Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is okay, but it is constructed somewhat poorly. There is a lot of tension right around the back v-shape area, causing the weakening of the fabric in that area (you can see the material thinning). Keep or Return: I would return this Lady Boutique BD shawl.
I love that it is elegant-looking and reversible, but there are some issues. Firstly, it slides back as I move around (it is heaver from the back). To fix this, they really should put small, discrete round weights at the bottom of both sides of the front to help counter this. Secondly, the material at the v-shaped area, right where it meets my neck, has a lot of tension and is fragile since it splits there. If you look closely, you can see the material both thinning and starting to overstretch where it is curved. And finally, the material is the equivalent of a thin scarf from Target. Not especially durable or special.

Return & Refund Info
I emailed support (service@ladyboutiquebd.com) to request a full return on January 17th. My request was approved the next day on January 18th, and I was provided with the return address. I mailed the package on January 23rd via USPS and paid a total of $30.55.

I asked for the Chinese version of the address too, so I could include it on the package next to the shipping label (to aid in delivery once it reaches China). Per the advice of a USPS worker, doing this can be helpful.

I received a full refund of $163.96 in two parts (out-of-stock items and returned items) on January 5th and March 14th. I received the final part of the refund fifty-one days after I mailed the package. – View Refund Receipt
Customer Service Experience
General Responsiveness
- They are very responsive and replied to a majority of my emails within 12 hours.
Shipment Details
- They never sent me a shipment email; I had to ask them TWO WEEKS after I placed the order for the tracking information. They sent it to me the next day.
- When I finally received my items, I was missing two of them. I emailed and asked where they were, and they said they were unavailable/out of stock. They didn’t bother to inform me about this earlier.
Return Details
- They offered me the following return options:
- Standard return (pay for shipping and mail to provided return address)
- Partial refund of 10% + one-time 15%
discount code for a future purchase + keep the items
Refund Details
The refund process was pretty infuriating. They refunded the out-of-stock items without issue, but not the returned items. Here is how the conversation went:
ME: “Following up on my refund for items in this package: order #. I shipped it 46 days ago, you should have received it. Please provide the refund.”
Support: “It is on the way.” (attached screenshot of tracking details)
ME: “46 days is a long time. Did you confirm with the carrier that it is indeed on the way?”
Support: “According to the tracking info, it is on the way, you can also check on (17track website).”
ME: (attached screenshot showing that the return is being held at customs) “Please provide the refund, or I will file a PayPal claim”.
Support: “We will issue a full refund for the returned items after it was delivered.”
ME: “It says they are waiting for you to pay taxes… why would you ever receive it if it’s been sitting there and you haven’t paid your country’s import taxes?”
Support: “Full refunded.”
I have absolutely no idea why it took MY telling them verbatim what the tracking information said to get a refund. Crazy.
Is Lady Boutique BD Legit or a Scam?

Reverse Image Search:
Based on my findings, there are MANY other small boutiques/online shops/marketplaces that sell many of the same items as Lady Boutique BD.
Possible reasons for this include the use of the same suppliers, the use of stolen images, the same owner operating multiple stores, the same owner selling on multiple platforms, etc.
With that being said, I found several of the same products on AliExpress, etc. for much cheaper. For example, I found the below jacket for $63.99 on Lady Boutique BD, and $30.13 on AliExpress. Based on the reverse image search results, I believe these are likely identical or near-identical items offered at vastly different prices (as opposed to one being a cheap-quality version of the other).
I highly recommend doing Reverse Image Searches when shopping online for price and quality checking purposes. You might be surprised at what you find!

No suspicious information (such as lawsuits or alerts from the Better Business Bureau) was found.
Do I Recommend This Shop?
Based on my experience, this company is a scam. I paid for my items, received two out of four of them (I inquired about the missing items and they told me they were out of stock), and successfully mailed the return package.
46 days pass by, and I inquire about the refund. They repeatedly tell me that they will refund me once the package arrives. After brief research referencing the tracking number, it turns out that my package has been at customs in China since February! I translated a Chinese message in the tracking log, stating that customs was waiting for the recipient to pay taxes. Remember, Lady Boutique BD has the same access to this tracking information and repeatedly told me to look at it… for what exactly? Not sure.
I let them know that they wouldn’t receive it if they didn’t pay their taxes, and they promptly refunded me. What a bizarre situation. It seems like they were hoping I wouldn’t see/translate that section of the tracking information. Either way, they were caught intentionally not receiving the package and were going to let me sit here and think the package never arrived and they can’t refund me. Unbelievable.
