According to the ICANN Lookup tool, they are most likely located in China.
As further supporting evidence, most of their page managers are located in China/Asia (according to Facebook’s Page Transparency tab).
Where does Moxidress ship from?
My order was shipped to me from a warehouse/distribution center in New Jersey (United States).

- According to my PayPal transaction, their legal business name is 上海铭尚服装服饰有限公司 (translates to Shanghai Mingshang Clothing Co., Ltd.).
- According to the ICANN Lookup tool, their registrar’s name is Shanghai Meicheng Technology Information Development Co., Ltd.
- Read this List of Online Stores that I suspect the owner of Moxidress also owns and operates. I put this list together using plagiarism tools like Copyleaks (premium), and looking for clues like identical landing pages (About Us, Contact, Return Policy, Shipping, etc.), matching Google site logos, PayPal merchant names (if there are similarities to my other orders), business addresses, site layouts, etc.

Moxidress Review and Order Details
I ordered the below items on 12/27/2023 to my address in North Carolina (United States). I paid a total of $160.88 to HM Clothing via PayPal. The charge appears on my credit card statement as “PAYPAL *HM CLOTKGCA”. – View Order Confirmation
1) Turtleneck Sleeveless Slit Midi Satin Dress
Brand Label: Unknown
Color/Size/Cost: Blue / M / $38 (Sale Price)
Country: Unknown
Material: The product page states ‘Satin’.
Expectation: It is VERY different from what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. The item I received has a weird asymmetrical neck, which isn’t AT ALL apparent in the product image.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality of the material is acceptable, but it is constructed poorly. It has many design flaws and areas that are poorly sewn. See my Quality Comparison & Rating Chart to know my current quality-rating standards.
Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it is the right size, but not the right fit for my body shape. The hips fit 1-2 sizes too tight, and the top is 1 size too loose. View my Body Measurements for size reference.
Keep or Return: I would return this Moxidress satin dress.
This dress is pretty terrible. It has a weird partial inner lining (just the back half) that goes down to the middle of my hips, the material is thin and easily wrinkled, the asymmetrical neck looks awful and is badly designed, and the top looks like a loose trash bag (though a positive is that it is entirely double-lined). Also, it is quite overpriced.
2) Off-Shoulder Slit Glitter Party Dress
Brand Label: Unknown
Color/Size/Cost: Champagne / M / $36.88
Country: Unknown
Material: The product page states ‘Cotton/Polyester’.
Expectation: It is VERY different from what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. Everything from the color to the texture is dramatically different.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is bad but wearable. You can’t tell from the images, but it is quite a bit see-through. See my Quality Comparison & Rating Chart to know my current quality-rating standards.

Keep or Return: I would return this Moxidress glitter dress.
Though it fits very well (like a second skin), and is an elegant style, it feels VERY cheap, the material is thin to the point of being see-through and feels a bit scratchy, and it is overpriced.
3) Crewneck Side-Split Sequin Glitter Sweater
Brand Label: Unknown
Color/Size/Cost: Brown / L / $45
Country: Unknown
Material: The product page states ‘Cotton/Polyester’.
Expectation: It is VERY different from what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. The color is more of a dark camel brown in person rather than a taupe, and the glitter and patterning look VERY different.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality of the main knit material is okay, however, the way the sequins are sewn in makes it nearly unwearable. See my Quality Comparison & Rating Chart to know my current quality-rating standards.
Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits well (though on the loose side in a slightly unflattering way). View my Body Measurements for size reference.
Keep or Return: I would return this Moxidress sweater.
Firstly, the cuffs and hem look overstretched. Not sure if this is a stylistic thing, but it looks cheap. Secondly, the sequins all over the material legitimately feel like acupuncture needles pricking my skin EVERYWHERE. You would have to wear a long-sleeved shirt underneath. Thirdly, it is very overpriced considering the quality. And finally, something about the shape doesn’t look good. It has a bit of a mushrooming effect near the bottom (this is more of a style preference).
4) Ruched Swing Mini Dress
Brand Label: Unknown
Color/Size/Cost: Gray / M / $36
Country: Unknown
Material: The product page states ‘Cotton/Polyester’.
Expectation: It is what I was expecting, for the most part, in terms of overall appearance. Perhaps this is due to the size I chose, but it doesn’t fit the same way it does on the model. It is also more of a heather gray in person.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality of the material is okay, but it is somewhat poorly constructed. Many of the seams are unevenly sewn. See my Quality Comparison & Rating Chart to know my current quality-rating standards.

Keep or Return: I would return this Moxidress mini dress.
Though I think the style is cute and flattering (if it were the right size), I have a few issues with this. Firstly, it is not sewn well. There are several areas where the sewing bunches and is uneven. Secondly, it is overpriced. I expect something much better for over $35. And finally (this is mostly just bad luck), it smells very strongly of body odor. Yuck.
Shipment Info
I received four items in two packages at my address in North Carolina (United States). The packages came from a warehouse/distribution center in the United States. I was provided tracking numbers through USPS.

Shipping Timeline:
- I placed my order on Wed, December 27th
- My order shipped on Tues, January 9th
- I received my packages on Mon, January 22nd / Thurs, January 25th
Total time of 29 days (to receive the complete order)
Their shipping policy states up to 19 days (including processing time) for standard U.S. shipping.
Return & Refund Info
I emailed support (cs@moxidress.com) to request a full return on January 25th. My request was approved six days later on January 31st, and I was provided with the return address. I mailed the package on February 3rd via USPS and paid a total of $64.75.

Return Instructions:
- Please mail the package to the provided return address using your local courier.
- After sending back the package, please email us the returning shipping number and paperwork.
After back and forth with support regarding the refund, I filed a claim with PayPal on March 18th. PayPal closed the case in my favor, and I received a full refund of $160.88 on April 20th. – View Refund Receipt

Customer Service Experience
General Responsiveness
It took them 2-11 days to respond to my emails.
Shipment Details
I had to reach out to support to ask when they were shipping my items. I waited 11 days for a shipment email and never saw one. They told me it would be ANOTHER 2-7 days, and as an apology, offered a $4 shipping fee reimbursement.
Return Details
They provided me with the following return/refund options:
- “We would like to offer you a reimbursement of $30 as a token of our apology for the inconvenience caused and not return the package…“
- “If you choose to return the items, please note that you are responsible for the return shipping costs. Once we receive the item in its original condition, we will issue a refund.“
Refund Details
This entire experience has been very frustrating. Fortunately, I won the PayPal claim, but here is how everything went down. The first thing to mention is that OVER A MONTH AFTER mailing the return package, I suddenly got an email from them on March 6th saying:
“If you choose to send the item back, there’s a risk it may get held up in customs, which could prevent us from completing the refund process. To avoid any potential issues, would you be willing to accept a reimbursement of $35 instead?”
What??? According to the return tracking info, the package arrived in China and was SIGNED FOR by the recipient on February 18th. After responding to this ludicrous email asking what the deal was, it took them 11 days to reply. They said:
“We have recorded your tracking number down, you’ll be refunded once it shows that it is delivered.”
Absolute insanity. I filed a claim right after this, as I wasn’t about to continue talking to a brick wall.
Is Moxidress Legit or a Scam?
Similar Sites & Analysis
Reverse Image Search:
Based on my findings, there are MANY other small boutiques/online shops/marketplaces that appear to sell many of the same items as Moxidress.
Possible reasons for this include the use of the same suppliers, this shop operating as a wholesaler or marketplace, the same owner operating multiple stores and/or selling on multiple platforms, the use of stolen images, etc.
With that being said, I found several of the same products on AliExpress, etc. for much cheaper. For example, I found the below lace cardigan for $42 on Moxidress and $23.16 on AliExpress. Based on the reverse image search results, I believe these are identical/near-identical items offered at vastly different prices (as opposed to one being a cheap-quality version of the other).
I highly recommend doing Reverse Image Searches when shopping online for price and quality checking purposes. You might be surprised at what you find!
Website/Company Search:
No suspicious information (such as lawsuits or alerts from the Better Business Bureau) was found.
Do I Recommend This Shop?
Based on my experience, this company is a scam. I returned my items to the address they provided, and they refused to refund me despite the tracking information stating that the package was delivered. I filed a claim with PayPal – they closed the case in my favor and I was able to get a full refund.
Additionally, they are VERY overpriced and low-quality, most of my items look dramatically different in person, my order took much longer than expected to arrive (29 days total), the return address is in China, and based on research, I believe I can find many of the same items for much cheaper on sites like AliExpress.
Overall, I had a horrible experience and I would NEVER shop here again.
