First Order

I ordered the below items on 2/13/2023 to my address in North Carolina (United States). I paid a total of $88.20 to DD APPAREL LLC dba OLIVER LOGAN (hello@oliverlogan.com) via PayPal. The charge appears on my credit card statement as “PAYPAL *DDAPPARELLL”. – View Order Confirmation 

1) Mulberry High Rise

  • Color, Size, and Cost: Vintage Medium Indigo / 29 / $98
  • Country: Made in China
  • Material: 68% Cotton, 31% Recycled Cotton, and 1% Spandex.
  • Description: These jeans have moderate stretch and are a standard denim thickness. They have a button fly, and all of the pockets are a good depth and size.
  • Expectation: They are exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
  • Quality: In my opinion, the quality is good. They are comparable to a pair of jeans you might find at Express or Gap. I could also see these being sold at a higher-end department store like Macy’s.
  • Fit: I ordered down one size from their fit calculator (I was told a size 30, and got a 29), and they do fit but I would prefer a size smaller. They seem to be good for curvier figures. View my body measurements for size reference.
  • Value: In my opinion, these jeans are fairly priced.

1) Jones Mid Rise Flare High Tide

  • Color, Size, and Cost: High Tide / 28 / $108
  • Country: Made in China
  • Material: 66% Cotton, 33% Recycled Cotton, and 1% Spandex
  • Description: These jeans are moderately stretchy, and the material is on the thin side. The front pockets are semi-deep. The hems of the legs are frayed.
  • Expectation: They are exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
  • Quality: In my opinion, the quality is good. They are comparable to a pair of jeans you might find at Express or Gap. I could also see these being sold at a higher-end department store like Macy’s.
  • Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and they fit well. However, I have a bigger backside, and they compress a bit more than I like. View my body measurements for size reference.
  • Value: In my opinion, these are fairly priced.

2) Ludlow Mid Rise Relaxed Aged Light Vintage Rip

  • Color, Size, and Cost: Light Vintage Rip / 28 / $80
  • Country: Made in China
  • Material: 68% Cotton, 31% Recycled Cotton, and 1% Spandex
  • Description: These jeans are moderately stretchy, and the material is on the thin side. The front pockets are semi-deep, and the back pockets are a bit bigger than standard jeans since these are a vintage style. They also have a button fly instead of a zipper.
  • Expectation: They aren’t quite what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. I was expecting a clean light wash, and what I got was a slightly darker and more ‘acid wash’ looking pair of jeans.
  • Quality: In my opinion, the quality is good. They are comparable to a pair of jeans you might find at Express or Gap. I could also see these being sold at a higher-end department store like Macy’s.
  • Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and they fit at least one size too big. View my body measurements for size reference.
  • Value: In my opinion, these jeans are fairly priced. Considering they are partly made of recycled cotton, and they seem to be more ethically produced than other jeans, these could even be a good deal!

Return & Refund Info

First Order

I submitted a return request via their return portal on March 9th. My request was approved instantaneously and I was provided with a prepaid return label. I mailed the package on March 11th via USPS.

I received a full refund of $88.20 on March 29th. I received the refund eighteen days after mailing the package. They notified me when they received the return package. – View Refund Receipt

Second Order

I attempted to complete a return request via their return portal on September 17th, however, I was notified that one of the jeans is not returnable (I am assuming that it is final sale). I was not aware of this, and double checked their return policy and product page. I found ZERO indication that it was final sale. I emailed their customer support to get more information.

The return/refund for this second order is pending.

Do I Recommend Oliver Logan?

Based on my experience so far, they are legitimate. I paid for my items, received them within the estimated time frame, successfully completed a return, and received a full refund for the first order. Note that I placed two separate orders at different times. I am waiting for the return of the second order.

With that being said, assuming I don’t have any return issues with the second order, I would buy from them again!

I have shopped at many places that claim to be sustainable. This shop by far has the most information present on their website, which makes me feel more confident in their claims. The quality of the jeans are good (constructed well, fit comfortably, etc.), the returns are easy since they have a straightforward return portal, and the items arrived very quickly.

The only issue I am facing at the moment is being unable to return one of the items from my second order through the return portal. It seems that the jeans may have been marked final sale, and I was not at all aware of this when I purchased them. I am waiting for customer service to get back to me with a solution.
