From my own personal shopping experience to the overall quality of the clothing, we will leave no stone unturned. - Who is Orwyy? They are a brand that has been in the retail fashion space for over a decade, allegedly producing clothing for some of the biggest names in the industry. They focus on selling trendy fashion that is accessible to everyone. They offer fresh designs by independent and up-and-coming designers, and prioritize ethical production and support sustainable practices.
- Do they claim to be sustainable? According to their About page, they prioritize ethical production and fair treatment of workers. They advocate for sustainable practices such as using recycled fabrics to reduce waste. They also allegedly give back by donating a portion of their revenue to charities that aim to alleviate poverty worldwide. In this section of the review, I will be thoroughly reviewing each item I ordered and will provide detailed information about the shipment and return/refund process. Keep reading for more!
Review
I ordered the below items on 4/24/2023 to my address in North Carolina (United States). I paid a total of $106.97 to Dress Fashion (service@indiefit.com) via PayPal. The charge appears on my credit card statement as “PAYPAL *DRESSFASHIO”. – View Order Confirmation
1) Long Sleeve Leopard Loose Tunic
- Color, Size, and Cost: Grey / S / $28.99
- Country: The product page says it was made in the United States, but the care label does not say.
- Material: The product page states – 65% Cotton, and 35% Elastane. The clothing does not have a care label for me to cross-check. I believe this is false, as any garment with 35% elastane would be INCREDIBLY stretchy, which this tunic is not.
- Description: This tunic is fairly thin, has minimal stretch, and feels similar to a very thin and semi-stiff t-shirt. It has pockets at the bottom on both sides.
- Expectation: It is not what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. In the product image, the tunic looks like a soft knit material, and drapes on the body like a nice cardigan. What I got was a cheap and thin polyester-feeling top.
- Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. It is comparable to a tunic you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.
- Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits, but I don’t think it is designed well in terms of material choice. The way this tunic falls on the body, it would need to be a heavier material for it to not look stiff and boxy as it does in my picture. View my body measurements for size reference.
- Value: In my opinion, this top is overpriced.
2) Retro Geometric Print Puffy Sleeve Mini Dress
- Color, Size, and Cost: Orange / M / $38.99
- Country: The product page says it was made in the United States, but the care label does not say.
- Material: The product page states – 40% Elastane, and 60% Rayon. The clothing does not have a care label for me to cross-check. However, based on my knowledge of materials, this is definitely inaccurate since the dress doesn’t have stretch.
- Description: The dress has little to no stretch, and buttons all the way down the front. The material feels soft and smooth, and is thin.
- Expectation: It is VERY different from what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. Not only do the sleeves look nothing like the product image, but the dress is not stretchy at all considering they claim it is almost half elastane.
- Quality: In my opinion, the quality is decent. It is comparable to a dress you might find at Target or H&M.
- Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits well. View my body measurements for size reference.
- Value: In my opinion, this dress is overpriced.
3) Comfy Short Sleeve V-Neck Top
- Color, Size, and Cost: White / S / $38.99
- Country: The product page says it was made in the United States, but the care label does not say.
- Material: The product page states – 45% Elastane, and 55% Rayon. The clothing does not have a care label for me to cross-check. However, this has to be false. If the top was 45% elastane, it would be incredibly stretchy (this top has no stretch).
- Description: This top is thin, and has no stretch. It feels somewhat rough, like a hybrid between a piece of paper and a cotton cloth.
- Expectation: It is VERY different from what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance. The material looks and feels completely different in person compared to the product image and material description. It is way cheaper quality than I expected.
- Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. I see a lot of loose threading. It is comparable to a top you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.
- Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits, but I would prefer a larger size. View my body measurements for size reference.
- Value: In my opinion, this top is overpriced.
Shipment Info
I received three items in one package from a warehouse in the United States. I was provided a tracking number.

- Order received on Mon, May 8th
Total time of 14 days
Return & Refund Info
I emailed support to request a full return on May 14th. My request was approved seventeen days later on May 31st, and I was provided with the return address. I mailed the package on June 2nd via USPS and paid a total of $6.92.
I received a partial refund of $91.98 on June 14th. I was supposed to receive a full refund of $106.97. I filed a dispute/claim with PayPal on June 21st.
Prior to returning my items, Orwyy had told me that if I chose to return the items, I would have to cover the return shipping (which I did). They also said that they would give me a full refund once they received my return. What appears to have happened is, they deducted $14.99 from my refund because this is the cost of shipping on their orders. However, I qualified for free shipping and did not have to pay this cost when I placed the order. This is a way for them to recover the shipping cost they paid and is a very poor and deceitful business practice.
PayPal initially rejected my dispute/claim and sided with the seller. I reached out to them to ask why, and turns out it had to do with the category under which the claim was submitted. They reopened the case, and then a few days later, they closed the case in my favor. I was refunded the remaining $14.99.

Customer Support Experience
- They were a bit slow to respond and overly insistent on my taking a partial refund.
- I had to ask for the return address FOUR times before they sent it to me.
- Instead of a standard return and refund, they offered me $35 refund + keep the items, then $56 refund + keep the items, and finally, $80 refund+ keep the items.

Additional Notes:
- The product images look heavily photoshopped.
- The site has poorly written English. For example, “…we can tell you that we produced fashions for some of the best brands in the industry…”. This could be indicative of an overseas-run shop.
Do I Recommend Orwyy?
Definition If my purchased items arrive, I am able to return the items successfully, and I receive a refund in the agreed-upon amount, I am deeming the company legitimate (unless fraudulent practices are discovered).
Based on my experience, this company is a SCAM. While I did receive my items, and eventually got a full refund for the return, there are a couple of reasons why this company is a scam.
- I checked the tracking number for my order with valanio.com (same seller as Orwyy). A message was displayed on USPS’s site saying that counterfeit postage was used. Read Counterfeit Postage FAQ by USPS for more information.
- They wrongfully deducted a shipping fee of $15 from my refund, after promising a full refund, and I had to file a claim with PayPal. It took weeks to resolve this.
- Additionally, the clothing overall is mediocre in quality, and they mislead customers by writing inaccurate product descriptions and using edited images that create false expectations.
So, if you choose to shop here anyway, shop with caution. I urge you to read reviews by other customers as well.

So many mixed reviews on Orwyy. I have ordered a dress that I liked the photo of very much . But it’s been a week and no updates on shipping. I am concerned about not getting this product . What is the best way to contact support or customer service ?
You should follow up with their support email to get an update. I haven’t had issues with them being unresponsive. service@orwyy.com
Orwyy scams customers. The address they gave me to return (at my cost) my items is in the Middle East despite the fact that the package was mailed from Jamaica NY. Their CS was not only not helpful, I felt that they were mocking me. There is no CS dept. Just some a___hole returning emails. The phone #on their website doesn’t work. My 3 items from them all State they were made in China! Their website states that they,”make workers’ rights and fair pay a top priority”. Unless you’ve been living in a bubble you should be well aware of China’s human rights abuses.
Wow, that is strange that we would have different return addresses… are you in the United States? And Paypal had informed me that a lot of sellers will ship from their home country to a local warehouse, and then from there will ship to your address. This supposedly saves costs… And I absolutely agree that most of these places do not have customer service departments or anything formal. The wording on the sustainability is 100% a copy and paste in order to lure in customers. I’ve noticed this is really common, and don’t trust anything unless they have certifications or some kind of proof that they actually follow those practices.
