Is PetalLush Legit? Here’s What You Need to Know

Have you been eyeing those cute outfits on petallush.com, but hesitating to make a purchase? I know the feeling. So, to answer your question: Is PetalLush a legit company? No, they are scam. While I received my order, and was able to return everything, the refund process is a mess. It took nearly 50 days for them to provide a refund (which was not the full amount). I had to file a PayPal claim for the remainder.

No, they likely are not. They don’t state anything on their site regarding efforts in sustainability, or ways that they give back to the community.

PetalLush Review and Order Details
I ordered the below items on 9/25/2023 to my address in North Carolina (United States). I paid a total of $176.49 to Petallush (service@petallush.com) via PayPal. The charge appears on my credit card statement as “PAYPAL *PETAL7Z26”. – View Order Confirmation
1) Black Short-Sleeve Round-Neck Elastic Waist Smocked Maxi Dress
- Color, Size, and Cost: Black / M / $44.00
- Country: Made in China
- Material: 100% Polyester
Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. It is comparable to a dress you might find at Charlotte Russe or Ross.
Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits a size too big. View my body measurements for size reference.
Keep or Return: I would return this PetalLush maxi dress.
While I like the overall pattern and smocked top, the material is paper thin, the sewing is crooked in some areas, and it is VERY overpriced for the quality.
2) White Half-Sleeve V-Neck Cotton Embroidered Midi Dress
- Color, Size, and Cost: White / M / $59.00
- Country: Made in China
- Material: 100% Cotton
Expectation: It is what I was expecting, for the most part, in terms of overall appearance.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is pretty good. It is comparable to a dress you might find at Target or H&M.

Keep or Return: I would return this PetalLush midi dress.
To state a few positives, the embroidery seems to be sewn well, it has a thin inner lining to prevent it from being see-through and to protect the back of the embroidery, and the vertical fabric lines on the outer layer are a nice detail. I also really like the frayed hems on the sleeves.
As for the negatives, the buttons are cheaply made and aren’t sewn super sturdily, there are a handful of long loose threads on the inside of the dress, and the price is a bit too high for the quality.
3) Green Fall Long-Sleeve Classic-Neck Shacket
- Color, Size, and Cost: Green / M / $30.00
- Country: Made in China
- Material: 25% Cotton, and 75% Polyester
Expectation: It isn’t quite what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is okay. It is comparable to a shacket you might find at Forever 21 or H&M.
Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it fits well. View my body measurements for size reference.
Keep or Return: I would return this PetalLush shacket.
While I generally like the fit, and the nice light (and ever so slightly stretchy) material perfect for a cool summer evening, it is a bit cheaply made. Firstly, this is NOT a jacket in any way, shape, or form. The material is more like a thick long-sleeve blouse. Secondly, the inside has some areas that look sloppily sewn and with excess threads that were not removed. I understand that these won’t be seen, but it makes the garment look cheap. Thirdly, it is more of an army green color and is more cropped in person. Finally, the metal-looking adjusters at the bottom of the shacket are plastic with a cheap silver coating. Additionally, all of the pockets are pretty small, which I personally dislike.
4) Black Lace Halter Strap Tankini Set
- Color, Size, and Cost: Black / L / $33.50
- Country: Made in China
- Material: 85% Polyester, and 15％ Spandex
Expectation: It is exactly what I was expecting in terms of overall appearance.
Quality: In my opinion, the quality is mediocre. It is comparable to a swimsuit you might find at Charlotte Russe or Forever 21.
Fit: I ordered based on the size guide provided, and it is the right size, but not a good fit for my body shape. View my body measurements for size reference.
Keep or Return: I would return this PetalLush swimsuit.
While I like the length of the top and the stretchy crocheted material, I have a few issues with this swimsuit. Firstly, This is a set and I can’t pick different sizes for the top and bottom. Unfortunately, this is not the right fit for my body. The top fits like a loose L, and the bottoms fit more like an M. And secondly, this swimsuit is not double-layered all around, which is too cheap for my liking. The bottoms are double-lined only in the front half.
Shipment Info
I received four items in one package at my address in North Carolina (United States). The package came from a warehouse/distribution center in the United States. I was provided a tracking number.

- Order shipped on Thurs, September 28th
- Order received on Friday, October 6th
Total time of 11 days
Note: Their shipping policy states up to 17 days (including processing time) for standard U.S. shipping.
Return & Refund Info
I emailed support (service@petallush.com) to request a full return on October 6th. My request was approved three days later on October 9th, and I was provided with the return address. I mailed the package on October 11th via UPS and paid a total of $7.03.
I received a partial refund of $133 on November 22nd. They refunded 3 out of the 4 items I returned. I asked them about the remaining $33.50 they owe me, and they told me that the warehouse hasn’t received or rebounded the tankini set yet. Keep in mind, my return package was delivered almost 50 days ago. – View First Refund Receipt
I filed a dispute/claim with PayPal on November 29th for the remaining refund amount.
I let PayPal know that I returned all four items, and was only refunded for three. I also let them know that it has been nearly 50 days since the delivery of my return package.

Note: If your return is international, I recommend printing out the native language version of the return address. For example, if your return is in China, print out the address written in Chinese characters. Tape it on the package next to the provided English address — per the advice of a USPS worker, doing this can help with delivery on the other side. You’ll probably need to ask the support team of the store you purchased from for the native version. They may or may not provide it to you, as it is not mandatory for successful delivery.
Support Experience
- Customer service was responsive and responded to each of my emails within a day.
- I had to ask for the return address three times before they gave it to me.
- Upon emailing them about returning my order, they offered me a $50 refund + keep the items. I rejected the offer, and they bumped it to $83. I rejected this offer, and as a final offer, they bumped it up again to $100. I rejected the offer once again.
- They asked that I take a photo of the hygiene sticker on the swimsuit prior to approving my return.
Provided return instructions and guidelines:
- We gladly accept unworn, undamaged, unwashed items with original labels attached (the hang tag and transparent package).
- Please note that your returned product(s) is required to be quality inspected after it is received in the warehouse. If the returned item(s) has been detected as used or worn, we cannot issue a refund for it.
- We currently are unable to offer free returns service, so the return shipping must be made at your own cost.
- Remember to give us a tracking number within 7 days of receiving the return address we provided. Otherwise, we are afraid that we will not accept returns and no refunds.
- We are happy to refund the price of the item(s) you returned (not including the original shipping fee as we had shipped it) after receiving the parcel and checking.
- Please write the following information on a piece of paper and put it in the parcel: Your order number and product IDs (they provided these to me).

I found several of the same products on Cherieday and CurveDream for similar prices. I highly recommend doing reverse image searches when shopping online to ensure you are not getting ripped off.
Do I Recommend This Shop?
Based on my experience, this company is a scam. Not only did it take an eternity to get a refund, but the refund itself was not the full amount. They refunded me for 3 out of the 4 items I mailed back, and after inquiring about the remaining refund amount, customer support repeatedly told me that the warehouse hadn’t rebounded or received the fourth item.
I gave them five more days to rebound the fourth item, and that didn’t happen. I filed a dispute/claim with PayPal. They are currently investigating the case.
